West Memphis Three: Are They Inncoent?

* First Video:

* Second Video:

Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley - also known as the West Memphis Three -- were teenagers when they were wrongfully convicted in 1994 of the murders of three children in West Memphis Arkansas. As highlighted in the landmark HBO Documentary "Paradise Lost," the investigation of these murders and subsequent arrests and trials were tragically mishandled, and amounted to little more than a witch hunt. To date, not one piece of substantial evidence, physical or otherwise, has connected the three men to the crime.

Now, after spending more than 16 years in prison, new DNA and forensic evidence has proven the innocence of the West Memphis Three.

This 20-minute video explores the new evidence in the case and gives Damien Echols a chance to speak in his own defense. Compiled from new defense and expert testimony, an interview with Echols on Larry King Live, and footage from '"Paradise Lost," 'West Memphis Three: Time For Truth" explores the latest chapter in this harrowing miscarriage of American justice, and leaves you aching to get involved.

"This is the most powerful and comprehensive visual representation of this very complicated story that we have seen to date. We only wish we could condense the facts so effectively." - Dennis Riordan and Don Horgan, Lead Counsels for Damien Echols

Michael Jackson's doctor charged with manslaughter

Investigators have decided first to carry out a further search warrant, probably on a Los Angeles pharmacy, in an attempt to gather more evidence against Dr Murray, the law enforcement source told Fox News.

Criminal charges related to medical malpractice were also likely against Dr Arnold Klein, the singer’s longtime dermatologist, Fox has been told.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said there was no way to know who may be charged, and with what, until police complete their investigation.

Investigators were reportedly keen initially to charge Dr Murray with second degree murder but feared a jury would not convict if there was no motive.

According to the Telegraph.Co.Uk, sources within the investigation have already made clear they believed that Jackson died after Dr Murray gave him a powerful, surgical anaesthetic through a drip-feed to help him sleep.

They are understood to believe that Dr Murray, who has various celebrity clients, gave the singer propofol, a drug usually given to patients in hospital conditions before surgery. Investigators believe the drug was at least a contributory factor in the 50-year-old singer’s death.

The Las Vegas-based doctor’s lawyer has said he never prescribed or administered any drug that “should have killed” Jackson, but he never specified whether he ever gave the singer propofol.

The Untold Story of Caylee Anthony

The Untold Story of Caylee Anthony
Air Date: 10/17/09
Full Episode: 43:01 min

"48 Hours" teams up with CBS News' "The Early Show" anchor Maggie Rodriguez for an exclusive interview with three members of Casey Anthony's defense team and an in-depth look at a case that has become a national obsession.

Caylee Marie Anthony (born August 9, 2005, in Orlando, Florida, died 2008) was a toddler who attracted international attention regarding the circumstances of her disappearance in June 2008 and subsequently discovered death. Her mother, Casey Anthony (born March 19, 1986), was indicted on October 14, 2008, for her first-degree murder.

Police found Anthony's account of Caylee's disappearance suspicious after learning that Casey had not reported her daughter missing for more than a month; the last time Casey Anthony claimed to have seen Caylee was on June 16, 2008, but the child's disappearance was not reported to police until July 15, 2008.

On December 11, 2008, the skeletal remains of Caylee Anthony were found near the Anthony home by a meter reader, later confirmed on December 19, 2008 by the Orange County Medical Examiner to be those of the toddler. According to wikipedia, the cause of the child's death is listed in the autopsy report as "homicide by undetermined means."

Casey Anthony is currently in jail, arrested on first-degree murder charges with a trial start date for some time in 2010. Her family maintains that she is innocent of all charges.
