After her well publicised drug addiction and problematic marriage to bad boy Bobby Brown, no-one was expecting Whitney Houston to pick up where she left off.

Still thousands of fans turned up on the opening night of her Australian tour to see an artist who has sold more than 170 million albums.

And when you've paid up to $170.00 Australian dollars for the privaliage you're entitled to expect a performance.

To say Whitney was off key would be an understatement, and she got through just two songs before appearing exhausted.

Some fans were less than impressed

But her promoter Andrew McManus said he was proud and honoured to be associated with such an "amazing talent."


He followed that by saying people who expected to hear Houston of 20 years ago, should go buy a CD. Judging by Australia's reaction better that than a ticket to one of her concerts.

Paparazzi Harrasement May Lead Sean Penn to Jail

Actor-director Sean Penn was charged yesterday with battery and vandalism charges stemming from an altercation with a photographer in the Brentwood section of LA last fall.


Penn will be arraigned March 22 on the two misdemeanor charges.

Penn allegedly kicked a photographer during a dustup in October. The photographer's camera also was damaged. The incident was captured on a video posted by TMZ .com in which Penn is seen kicking at a photographer and repeatedly telling the photographer to "get out."


According to the new yprk post, if convicted, Penn could face up to 18 months in jail.


Penn is the latest actor charged for altercations with the paparazzi. Charges against rapper Kanye West and actor Gerard Butler were recently dismissed after both men completed community service after scuffles with celebrity photographers.

According to the Time.Com, allegations of numerous mistresses, Las Vegas romps, audio purportedly of his asking a woman to disengage the caller-ID feature from her phone so his wife wouldn't see it, lead Woods to admit that: "I have let my family down."


"What Tiger and his advisers have managed to do so far is make this a much bigger story," says Michael Sitrick, CEO of the crisis-management firm Sitrick & Co. "There's this mind-set that if you hunker down and take the 'high road,' it will go away."


The publicist points to Bill and Hillary Clinton as exemplars of the "wife first" approach: once Hillary said it was between Bill and her, the heat went down. "If he can get his wife to support him, I'd pick one print and one broadcast outlet and then never talk about it again."

Patrick Wayne Swayze, August 18, 1952 – September 14, 2009, was an American actor, dancer and singer-songwriter. He was best-known for his roles as romantic leading men in the films Dirty Dancing and Ghost and as Orry Main in the North and South television miniseries. He was named by People magazine as its "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1991.


Diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in January 2008, Swayze told Barbara Walters a year later that he wanted the media to report that he was "kicking it". He died from the disease in September 2009.


His last role was the lead in an A&E TV series, The Beast, which premiered on January 15, 2009. Owing to a prolonged decline in health, Swayze was unable to promote the series, and on June 15, 2009, Entertainment Tonight reported that the show had been cancelled.


Pancreatic cancer is a malignant neoplasm of the pancreas. Each year in the United States, about 42,470 individuals are diagnosed with this condition and 35,240 die from the disease. The prognosis is generally poor; less than 5 percent of those diagnosed are still alive five years after diagnosis. Complete remission is still extremely rare.

In Venice Film Festival last year 2008, the actress Charlize Theron gets a marriage proposal from a journalist during a press conference for her movie: “The Burning Plain”.

“I would like to ask you something Charlize Theron,” the journalist said. “First of all, I really like you so much and have a lot of respect for you, but I would like to marry you — and I have a question: which side [of the bed] do you prefer to sleep [on]?”

Charlize Theron: “The side that you are not on.”

“Oh, then I think it doesn’t work,” he said.

The actress start calling in funny way: “Security! Security! Security!” And continued,”The man with the red… you are very cute, but you know my boyfriend will kill you.”

“Yeah, I am married, I am taken, whatever,” Charlize added sarcasticly. “How much money do you have?”

“I am poor,” the journalist answered.

To minimize the damages the actress said: “See, we are gonna have to talk about that,” she said. “I will talk to you later. I have something for you, you are ready? Ananas [meaning pineapple]. There you go, sit down.”

Prince Charles Assassination Attempt

student, David Kang, lunged onto the stage towards the prince,

Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones (28 February 1942 – 3 July 1969) was an English musician and one of the founding members of the rock group "The Rolling Stones".

At around midnight on the night of 2-3 July 1969, Jones was discovered motionless at the bottom of his swimming pool at Cotchford Farm. His Swedish girlfriend, Anna Wohlin, is convinced he was alive when they took him out, insisting he still had a pulse. However, by the time the doctors arrived, it was too late, and he was pronounced dead. The coroner's report stated "Death by misadventure", and noted his liver and heart were heavily enlarged by drug and alcohol abuse.

According to BBC, the official version of events was that he took a midnight swim and drowned because of a cocktail of drink and drugs in his system. But investigations of the programme "Inside Out West" will reveal new evidence that casts doubt on the official coroner's verdict of death by misadventure.

The programme has obtained a medical report which appears to show Brian Jones was relatively sober on the night he died. It shows he had consumed the equivalent of three and a half pints of beer - not much for a seasoned drinker. And doctor's notes suggest the drugs found in his urine could be explained by a catalogue of prescription medicines he was taking at the time of his death.

The new evidence adds some credence to the theory that Jones' death may not have been accidental. There have been a number of conspiracy theories about the death over the years - most recently in a film called Stoned which suggested Jones was killed by a builder to whom he owed money.
